08 - 227 g gouda cheese block
09 - 227 g brie or camembert (optional)

→ Accompaniments

10 - 120 ml dried apricots
11 - 120 ml dried figs, halved
12 - 120 ml seedless red grapes
13 - 120 ml fresh apple slices
14 - 60 ml honey or fig jam

→ Crackers & Bread

15 - 240 ml assorted crackers (gluten-free if required)
16 - 1 small baguette, sliced

# How To Make:

01 - Place 120 ml almonds in a small bowl. Lightly mist or brush with water to aid gold dust adherence. Sprinkle edible gold dust evenly and toss gently to coat. Set aside to dry for a few minutes.
02 - Slice cheddar and gouda into 6 mm thick slabs. Use a small acorn-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Optionally, add detail or create a two-tone effect by stacking cheese layers using a paring knife.
03 - Arrange all nuts, including gold-sprinkled almonds, pecans, walnuts, and hazelnuts, in small clusters or bowls on a large board or platter.
04 - Place acorn-shaped cheese cutouts around the board, interspersed with cubes or wedges of brie or camembert to add texture variety.
05 - Distribute dried apricots, figs, grapes, and apple slices on the board in small piles or fan shapes to add color and freshness.
06 - Place honey or fig jam in a small serving dish along with a spoon or honey dipper.
07 - Fill remaining spaces on the board with assorted crackers and baguette slices.
08 - Serve immediately or cover lightly and refrigerate up to one hour before serving.

# Top Suggestions:

01 -
  • It looks like you spent hours in the kitchen when assembly takes barely half an hour.
  • The acorn cheese shapes become a conversation starter that guests photograph before eating.
  • You can swap ingredients freely based on what you love, making it feel entirely yours.
02 -
  • Slice your apples at the last possible moment before serving or they'll brown and lose their freshness.
  • The acorn cutter must be truly sharp—a dull one will crumble the cheese rather than cut cleanly through it.
03 -
  • Those gold-sprinkled almonds are fragile—nestle them gently in their own small bowl or cluster so guests can admire them before eating.
  • The edible gold dust is pure theater with zero flavor, so it won't overwhelm the subtle nuttiness of the almonds beneath.
