11 - Powdered sugar for dusting
12 - Fresh berries for garnish
13 - Maple syrup or extra Nutella for drizzling

# How To Make:

01 - Spread 1 tablespoon Nutella on four slices of brioche. Top each with another slice to create four sandwiches.
02 - In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until thoroughly combined.
03 - Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
04 - Dip each Nutella sandwich into the egg custard, coating both sides evenly without oversaturating the bread.
05 - Place sandwiches in the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and custard is set. Add remaining butter as needed between batches.
06 - Transfer to serving plates. Dust with powdered sugar, garnish with fresh berries, and drizzle with maple syrup or additional Nutella. Serve immediately while warm.

01 -
  • The contrast between the crispy, caramelized exterior and the molten Nutella center creates a texture experience that will genuinely make you close your eyes with the first bite.
  • Its surprisingly quick to prepare, which means you can whip it up on rushed mornings when you need something to turn the day around.
02 -
  • The bread should be slightly stale or left out for 20 minutes before using – fresh brioche can get too soggy in the custard mixture.
  • Medium heat is crucial – too high and youll burn the outside while leaving the custard raw inside, too low and youll never get that perfect golden color.
03 -
  • If your Nutella is too firm to spread easily, spoon it into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 5-second intervals until just softened, not melted.
  • After cooking, let the French toast rest for one minute before cutting – this allows the molten Nutella center to set slightly so it doesnt all run out with the first cut.
