# How To Make:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dollop 8 heaping tablespoons of Nutella onto the sheet, shaping each into a disk about 2 inches wide. Freeze for at least 30 minutes until firm.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
03 - In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
04 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Do not overmix. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes to thicken.
05 - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly brush with butter.
06 - Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Place a frozen Nutella disk in the center, then spoon a little more batter over the Nutella to cover completely.
07 - Cook until bubbles appear on the surface and edges look set, about 2 minutes. Flip carefully and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden and cooked through.
08 - Repeat with remaining batter and Nutella disks, adding more butter as needed. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with extra Nutella.

# Top Suggestions:

01 -
  • The contrast between fluffy pancake exterior and molten Nutella center creates a texture experience that regular pancakes simply cannot match.
  • These are remarkably forgiving for something so impressive looking, perfect for impressing weekend guests without waking up at dawn.
02 -
  • If your Nutella disks arent frozen solid, theyll melt too quickly during cooking and create a puddle instead of a pocket of chocolatey goodness.
  • The first pancake is almost always sacrificial, acting more as a test for pan temperature than something worth serving.
03 -
  • Keep the pan at medium heat throughout cooking, as too hot will burn the outside before the inside cooks, while too cool will result in dense, tough pancakes.
  • If making these for a crowd, keep finished pancakes warm in a 200°F oven on a wire rack over a baking sheet, but serve within 15 minutes before the Nutella begins to solidify.
